LAST WEEK: The Razorbacks defeated crosstown rival Texas High at home, 7-0. Camden Fairview fell to Hamburg, 14-12.
LAST YEAR: The Hogs defeated the Cardinals on the road, 28-20.
GAME FACTS: Last week's shutout was the Razorbacks first since 2013. This game will be Barry Norton's first game to lead the Hogs against a team outside of Texarkana. The Razorback defense is allowing 13.5 points per game. The clash between Arkansas High and Camden Fairview is each school's final non-conference game of the season.
COACHES’ COMMENTS: Arkansas High's Barry Norton—“We're looking at what they are and who they are. I think we're pretty good at defending the spread offense. When you spread out, you have to have a good plan. We'll have to be really good with our responsibilities. The way these spread offenses are being ran, its old triple-option football.”
“We're going to try to stop the run and not give up any big plays. If we do that, we'll be
fine. They are a big blitz and zone pressure team. We handle those things well and create more explosive plays offensively.”
“In football, if you win the turnover battle and you win the explosive plays, most all the time you win ballgames. If you know that's the formula, you have to try to get to the formula. We have to create more explosive plays and progress throughout the year.”
