Texas High’s ninth grade defeats Liberty-Eylau, 22-18, at Harris Field

Rian Cellers threw a pair of touchdown passes to Gavon Smith, and Texas High's ninth grade defeated Liberty-Eylau, 22-18, Thursday at Harris Field.

Vontrey Anderson scored on a 4-yard run and added a 2-point conversion, while teammate DeQuarrean Collier had a 49-yard punt return for the Tigers. Cellers had a 2-point run.

Clayton Smith and Trey Roberts each had an intercepti­on for Texas High.

The Tigers (2-0) host Kilgore at 5:30 p.m. Thursday. TMS wins

Texas Middle School's 8th grade ‘A' team defeated LibertyEyl­au, 36-2, at Tiger Stadium in Grim Park.

Bryceson McHenry threw four touchdowns and ran one in for the Tigers.

HARLETON, Texas— Redwater shut out Harleton, 32-0, in a junior varsity game, giving the Dragons three shutouts in subvarsity action.

Matt Williams had a 21-yard touchdown run for Redwater's JV, ran for a pair of 2-point conversion­s and blocked a punt. Logan Johnson raced 90 yards for a score, and Tanner Royal added an 82-yard jaunt to paydirt. Dalton Robertson also had a 2-yard plunge for a TD.

Zax Ransdell recovered a fumble and had a 2-point run, Nick Fernandez also had a 2-pointer, and Noah Fernandez and Rex Harris had fumble recoveries.

In the 8th grade game, the Dragons trounced the home team, 38-0. Malcolm Brown had an 80-yard scoring run after recovering a fumble by his own team, added a 9-yard TD run and three 2-point conversion­s for Redwater. Jonathan Ketchum had a 60-yard TD and 15-yard scoring run, Evan Smith added a 21-yard score and Austin Kennedy had a 2-pointer.

Cole Turner had an intercepti­on on defense, and defensive tackle John Collier wreaked havoc and had a fumble recovery and two sacks.

Mason Windham sparked the 7th graders to a 16-0 win with touchdown runs covering 40 and 55 yards, Austin Smith ran for both 2-point conversion­s. NH wins 2, ties

North Heights won 3 of 4 junior high games against visiting Mount Pleasant.

The Razorback 7th grade A team won 18-0 with Marjevion Cummings rushing for TDs of 38 and 55 yards. The other North Heights TD was a 20-yard pass from Jake Ledford to Dailyn Jefferson.

Mount Pleasant won the 8th grade A game, 14-0.

Mason Cornelius covered 97 yards for a touchdown for the 8th grade B team as North Heights won, 6-0. The 7th grade B game ended in a 6-6 tie with Gage Brock scoring for the Hogs from the 35. Bears take down Cardinals

MAUD, Texas—Peyton Yandle had touchdown runs of 15, 6, and 12 yards to go with two, 2-point conversion­s as DeKalb's junior high rolled past Maud, 42-22.

Kobe Williams connected with Kaiden Williams for the Bears' first score. On the next DeKalb score, Kobe Williams hit Amar Love on a 46-yard TD.

Kobe Williams had a 15-yard score, and found Kaleb Dooley in the end zone for a 2-point conversion for the Bears.

QUEEN CITY, Texas—Drake Moore had touchdown runs of 7 and 3 yards as Queen City's junior varsity defeated LindenKild­are, 32-8, at Smith Wall Stadium.

Vonte Frank had a 15-yard touchdown run, a 2-point run, and an intercepti­on for the Bulldogs (3-0).

Josh Davis caught a 40-yard pass from Tallen Boone for a Queen City score. Dalton Croley added two, 2-point conversion­s, while teammate DeMarques Gamble had one.

Gamble, Damir Rascoe, and Ryan Peacock had intercepti­ons for the Bulldogs.

Queen City's jayvee plays at Paris Chisum Thursday at 6:30 p.m.

SMACKOVER, Ark.— Fouke's junior high squad fell to Smackover on the road, 12-8.

Dakota Boles caught a 7-yard pass from Cannon Garrett for the Panthers. Jayden Pittman completed the 2-point conversion.

The 7th grade Panthers fell to Smackover, 40-22.

Collin Foster scored two touchdowns for Fouke on runs of 6 and 72 yards. Dylan Thorton ran in the 2-point conversion.

Smackover's Will Wilcox caught a 54-yard touchdown.
