Liberty-Eylau’s jayvee rolls to victory

PARIS, Texas—Korbyn White and Damien Henderson each had two rushing touchdowns to propel Liberty-Eylau's junior varsity to a 40-6 win over North Lamar.

Taleveion Cooper rushed for a TD and threw a touchdown to Quevo Kirkendall for L-E. Jessie Campbell had over 100 yards rushing.

Harry Daniels, who made two intercepti­ons, and Joe Peters were named defensive standouts.

Leopards’ 9th edges NL

Semondre Lewis had two touchdowns runs to lift Liberty-Eylau over North Lamar, 14-12, in a 9th grade football game at Harris Field.

Takylan Hampton had a 2-point conversion run for the Leopards.

Defensive players Josh Gamble and Parker Goodman, along with offensive linemen Austin Gonzales and Ezekiel Brown were standouts for Liberty-Eylau.

Tigers blank Mount Pleasant

MOUNT PLEASANT, Texas—Texas High's frosh squad throttled Mount Pleasant on the road, 42-0.

Vontrey Anderson scored two touchdowns for THS on runs of 42 and 84 yards. Anderson also scored a 2-point conversion for the Tigers.

LaJontae Wrightner scored on a 61-yard punt return and also score two 2-point conversion­s for Texas High.

Dequarreon Collier put THS on the board, with his 39-yard scamper to the end zone.

Clayton Smith caught a 19-yard dart from Rian Cellers for the Tigers.

Jackson Tye scored Texas High's final touchdown of the night on a 9-yard pass from Jackson Halter.

The Tigers are 6-1 overall and 3-0 in district.

THS will host Greenville Thursday at 5 p.m.

TMS ‘A’ falls to MP

MOUNT PLEASANT, Texas—Datrit Harris hauled in a pair of touchdowns from Bryson McHenry covering 70 and 60 yards for Texas Middle School's 8th grade A team in a 28-26 loss to host Mount Pleasant.

McHenry also hooked up with Jaylen Woodside for a 40-yard scoring strike, Demarco Banks had a 20-yard TD run and Taeshun Richardson rushed for a 2-point conversion.

Tigers’ 8th B post shutout

Rickalon Young had touchdown runs of 28 and 8 yards as Texas Middle School's 8th grade B team shut out Mount Pleasant 20-0 at Tiger Stadium at Grim Park.

Marcel Beaver ran a kickoff back 75 yards for TMS. The home Tigers' coaches praised the entire defense.

North Heights’ 8th falls

PINE BLUFF, Ark.—Marquaviou­s Watkins had a 55-yard and a 35-yard touchdown run for North Heights, but it fell to Pine Bluff, 30-22, in the 8th grade game.

Logan Williams had a touchdown run, while teammates Rickie Williams and Vontavian Solomon each added a 2-point conversion run for the Hogs.

North Heights plays at Magnolia Thursday at 5:30 p.m. Redwater edges NB

NEW BOSTON, Texas—Redwater's junior varsity squad defeated New Boston on the road, 26-12.

Preston Davis scored three touchdowns for the Dragons on runs of 1, 2, and 4 yards. Davis also scored a 2-point conversion run for Redwater, which hosts White Oak next week.

Logan Johnson put Redwater (7-0) on the board with his 2-yard dive in the end zone.

Zax Ransdell recovered a onside kick for the Dragons. Ransdell was also credited for his defensive performanc­e.

The 8th grade Dragons defeated New Boston, 30-0.

Malcolm Brown started the scoring for Redwater with his 9-yard run. Brown also punched in two 2-point conversion­s.

Jonathan Ketchum caught a 40-yard bomb from Brown to put the Dragons on the board. Ketchum also ran back a 65-yard kickoff for Redwater.

Kaleb Narens finished the scoring for the Dragons on a 60-yard scamper to the pylon.

Austin Coburn recovered a fumble to seal the victory for Redwater late in the fourth quarter.

Redwater's 7th grade squad defeated the Lions, 10-8.

Chris Gianbrone put the Dragons on the board with his safety. David McKeever scored on a 18-yard run for Redwater. Austin Smith punched in the 2-point conversion.

DeKalb edges Pewitt

OMAHA-NAPLES, Texas—Ramaj Vaughn's four touchdowns paced DeKalb past New Boston in the junior varsity contest, 30-18.

Vaughn scored on runs of 4 and 20 yards. Vaughn also scored two 2-point conversion.

Vaughn also caught a 2-yard and 35-yard pass from AJ Burgin for touchdowns. Jamar Vaughn also scored a 2-point conversion in the game.

Paul Pewitt defeated DeKalb in the 8th grade game, 24-22.

Kobe Williams put the Bears on the board with his 6-yard run, and Kaden Wiliams scored on a 27-yard run for DeKalb.

Peyton Yandle scored on a 5-yard run and also scored two 2-point conversion­s for the Bears.

DeKalb's 7th grade squad defeated Pewitt, 32-0.

Amar Love scored twice for the Bears on runs of 36 and 64 yards. Love also caught a 54-yard pass from Wyatt Huggins for a score.

Huggins scored on a 9-yard run for the Bears. Colt Baxley, Caleb Dooley, Alex Mendiola and Conrad Crouch, each converted a 2-point conversion for DeKalb.

Ore City prevails

ORE CITY, Texas—Ore City defeated DeKalb (4-1) in the 8th grade clash, 38-28.

Austin Terry and Brandon Parkman scored rushing touchdowns for the Bears.

T'Angelo Neal scored two rushing touchdowns for the Bears.

Imahd Hicks completed two 2-point conversion­s for DeKalb.

The Bears (3-2) defeated Ore City's 7th grade squad, 22-20.

Jeremiah Drayton scored three touchdowns and Howard Green completed two 2-point conversion­s for the Bears.

Tigers defeat Hornets

DAINGERFIE­LD, Texas—JJ Johnson had a 78-yard touchdown run for Hooks, but it fell to Daingerfie­ld, 22-6, in a junior varsity football game.

TJ Rigsby made 15 tackles to pace the Hornet defense.

Fouke’s JH wins

FOUKE, Ark.—Kanon Garrett had two touchdown runs as Fouke's junior high defeated Genoa Central, 24-6.

Jacob Pitman had a touchdown run, two, 2-point conversion­s, and ran for 143 yards on 16 totes for the Panthers. Trent Crabtree added a 2-point conversion run.

Daniel Washington had a touchdown run for the Dragons.

Conner Reed had 3 TD runs and three, 2-point conversion runs as Genoa Central won the 7th grade game, 30-16. Trenton McMurry had a rushing score for the Dragons.

Colin Foster had a TD run and a 2-point run, and teammate Dylan Thornton added a 2-point run for Fouke.

Fouke's junior high finished the season with a mark of 5-3.
