Adapted by Christopher Sergel From the book by S.E. Hinton A teen gang in rural Oklahoma, the Greasers are perpetually at odds with the Socials, a rival group. When Greasers Ponyboy and Johnny get into a brawl that ends in the death of a Social member, the boys are forced to go into hiding. Soon Ponyboy and Johnny, along with the intense Dallas and their other Greaser buddies, must contend with the consequences of their violent lives. While some Greasers try to achieve redemption, others meet tragic ends. Doors open 30 minutes before showtime.
Texas A&M University-Texarkana Counselor Luncheon

This event will provide an opportunity for counselors to receive updated information on the academic programs offered at the university, the enrollment process, scholarships, admissions procedures and financial aid. The luncheon will also highlight three new degree programs: biotechnology, chemistry and kinesiology. There will be a discussion over program developments as a member of the Texas A&M University System. Each counselor will receive a portfolio containing admissions, financial aid/scholarship, housing and academic information. A special gift will also be given to each counselor as a token of appreciation. A total of $40,000 in scholarship vouchers will be raffled. The Art of Yoga Fundraiser

TRAHC and local yoga instructor Colleen Narens will lead this fundraising event. This program is open to all skill levels and ages 8 and up. Bring your own mat, since there will be a limited number of mats available. Light refreshments will be served. In order to participate, a $15 donation per person or a $25 donation for two people will be required. All proceeds benefit TRAHC’s Arts on Main program. Walk-ins are welcome.
