Trinity Christian wins, 63-46

Trinity Christian defeated Ouachita in the home-opener at Wallace Edgar Arena, 63-46.

J.R. Kemp led the Warriors offensivel­y with 17 points. Jakob Martin added 14 points and Grant Nolan chipped in 12 points for TC.

Titus McBay led Ouachita with a gamehigh 22 points. The Warriors host Emerson on Friday. Trinity Christian won the junior varsity boys game with Ouachita, 50-17.

Griffin Brocato led all scorers, pouring in 15 points on the night. Kaden Fulmer led Ouachita with four points.

Ouachita defeated TC in the junior varsity girls contest, 42-18.

Lizzy Rowton drained a game-high 11 points and Gracie Luckey led the Lady Warriors with seven points. McLeod 59, Yantis 50

YANTIS, Texas—McLeod edged out Yantis on the road in their varsity girls basketball match, 59-50.

Shelby Davis led the Lady Horns with 18 points. Jillian Ellis poured in 12 points and Selena Moon added 15 points for McLeod.

Ashten Burnett led the Lady Owls with 21 points and Montana Wetzel chipped in 15 points.

Fouke 60, Horatio 29

DE QUEEN, Ark.—Fouke’s varsity girls squad came out on fire in the first round of the De Queen Tip-Off Classic, defeating Horatio, 60-29.

Taylor Harding scored a game-high of 20 points for the Lady Panthers. River Watkins drained 14 points and Hannah Maulding finished with a double-double, scoring 10 points and grabbing 11 rebounds for Fouke.

Kelsie Easlon led the Lady Lions with eight points.

The Lady Panthers are back in action Thursday, facing host De Queen at 7:30 p.m.

Redwater 49, Maud 25

REDWATER, Texas—Savannah Corbell and Karlee Carmony each dropped 14 points in the Lady Dragons home opener to pace Redwater past Maud, 49-25. Carmony also had eight rebounds. Alex Conkleton, Annelise Flowers and Jordan Montgomery each finished with 6 points for the Lady Cardinals.

The Lady Dragons won the junior varsity contest with Maud, 19-16.

Nyala Mitchell led the Lady Cardinals with eight points and Natalie Shumate chipped in five points for Redwater. ATLANTA, Texas—Atlanta’s Keyona Easter poured in 23 points and Sheveonia Smith added 21 points, to lead the Lady Rabbits in their first victory of the season over Dekalb, 80-19.

Brittany Collins chipped in 11 points for Atlanta.

Carrie Almond finished with five points and Kinley Holder led the Lady Bears with six points on the night.

Ore City 40, L-K 32

LINDEN, Texas—The Lady Tigers fell in their home-opener to Ore City, 40-32.

Sierra Johnson led Linden-Kildare offensivel­y, scoring a game-high 13 points. Jaimya Gaston added four points and 13 rebounds for the Lady Tigers.

Red Lick tops TC

Red Lick’s 8th grade squad defeated Trinity Christian at home, 44-17.

Martin Haley led the Mustangs with 13 points, while Zach Graf poured in six points for the Warriors.
