EASY CREME BRULEE

Ingredient­s:

2 cups heavy cream

5 egg yolks

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1 Tbsp. vanilla extract

1/2 cup light brown sugar

Directions: Preheat oven to 275°F. Whisk cream, egg yolks, granulated sugar and vanilla together until creamy. Pour into 4 7-oz. ramekins. Place ramekins into baking pan. Fill baking pan with hot water about halfway up the sides of ramekins. Place pan in oven for 45 to 60 minutes. Bake until knife comes out clean or when 60 minutes has passed. Remove ramekins from pan and set on counter to cool for 15 minutes. Chill in refrigerat­or overnight. When ready to serve, sprinkle with thin layer of brown sugar and torch top, or put into broiler briefly enough to caramelize sugar.
