Dine on the Line to be combined with Oktoberfest

-

Main Street Texarkana has begun laying the groundwork for Dine on the Line, their annual downtown dinner that takes place on State Line in October. Their biggest fundraiser, the event showcases downtown restaurants and merchants and gives citizens on both sides of the city to enjoy a good meal together.

This year, Dine on the Line will feature Verona’s, a downtown restaurant specializing in fine Italian cuisine. Besides the usual family fun, music and food, other participants will include Discovery Place Museum Kids Corner, a fashion show with local boutiques, local vendors displaying their wares, live music, a raffle and more.

“We are combining our Dine on the Line with an Oktoberfest celebration,” said Ina McDowell. “One of the things for that will be a beer tasting. We’ll have two tents, one featuring professional brewers, the other with brewing hobbyists wanting to introduce interested parties to their beer and hobby.” Also announced was a salute to Farmers’ Markets to take place at this weekend’s Texas-side Farmers’ Market. The market opens 7 a.m. at 305 Texas Blvd, Texarkana, Texas. The City Guide magazine has been released and can be obtained at the Chamber of Commerce, 819 N. State Line. It also can be found in various establishments throughout the city. It features information on places to eat, things to do and more in Texarkana.

Also, the deadline is coming for Main Street Texarkana membership to be featured on the upcoming MS-T T-shirt. For more information on that or any of the above, contact them at mainstreettexarkana.org.
