GLORIA MATTHEWS

Gloria Marie Matthews, 87, formerly of Texarkana, Ark., died Saturday, Dec. 1, 2018, in a Round Rock, Texas, nursing home. Mrs. Matthews was born Jan. 26, 1931, in Texarkana. She was a piano teacher and a member of First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jackie Ray Matthews.

Survivors include four children, Pamela Sue Litvay, Polly Ann Tanner, William R. Buse and Priscilla Marie Swartz; four grandchild­ren; and nine great-grandchild­ren.

Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Larry Sims officiatin­g. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park under direction of Texarkana Funeral Home, Texas.

Visitation will be 4 p.m to

6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to a favorite charity.

Survivors include her husband, Tim Tolleson; one son, Ricky Jones of Texarkana, Ark.; two daughters, Brenda Wagner of Fouke, Ark., and Melinda Taylor of Nashville; one brother, Jackie Dodge of Queen City, Texas; three sisters, Dorothy Phipps of Texarkana, Patricia Leslie of Atlanta, Texas, and Linda Duhon of Queen City; six grandchild­ren; one great-granddaugh­ter; and a number of other relatives.

Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Latimer Funeral Home. Burial will be in County Line Cemetery.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to

8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

LELA MIXON

IDABEL, Okla.—Lela Mixon, 98, of Idabel died Thursday, Dec. 6, 2018, in Idabel. Mrs. Mixon was born Feb. 8, 1920, in Idabel. She was a homemaker and a member of Idabel First United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Mixon; and one daughter, Judy Mixon.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Bobby and Kathy Mixon of Idabel; two grandchild­ren and spouses, Jeff and Christy Mixon of Fort Worth, Texas, and Jennifer and Chris Coulter of Kingwood, Texas; four great-grandchild­ren, Chloe Coulter and Luke Coulter of Kingwood and Sophie Mixon and Olivia Mixon of Fort Worth; and a number of other relatives.

Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at First United Methodist Church, Idabel, with the Revs. Dale Hill and Mark Polson officiatin­g. Burial will be in Denison Cemetery under direction of White Family Funeral Home.

Visitation will be 5 p.m. to

7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Dora Mae Dyer, 97, of Lake Charles, La., died Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2018, in Lake Charles. Mrs. Dyer was born Feb. 12, 1921, in Dallas City, Ill. She was a member of First Presbyteri­an Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Rudolph “Doc” Dyer; one son, William R. “Bill” Dyer Jr.; and one daughter, Mary Elizabeth Galloway.

Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Jimmy Latour and Edna and Larry Breaux; 10 grandchild­ren; and a number of other relatives.

Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at East Funeral Home, Downtown, with Sue Ellen Hall officiatin­g. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Visitation will be 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
