Children’s free-throw contest set for Dec. 15
A free throw contest for children ages 8 to 13 is scheduled for 8 a.m. Dec. 15 at the Southwest Center in Texarkana, Texas.
The event is part of the Elks National Hoop Shoot, a nationwide contest sponsored by Elks National Foundation to promote perseverance, focus, self-control, enthusiasm and hard work among young people.
All winners will receive prizes. One boy and one girl in each age division will advance to the state contest. The 2019 Hoop Shoot National Finals will take place on April 27, 2019, in Chicago.
