Horatio State Bank donates $5,000 to education foundation

-

The University of Arkansas Cossatot Foundation recently received a third Legacy 2020 capital campaign donation from Horatio State Bank. Classroom 212 in the Frachiseur-Pulliam Building on the De Queen campus is now named the Horatio State Bank Classroom to recognize the gift.

“We give because we believe in the future of Southwest Arkansas,” Ned Hendrix, Horatio State Bank CEO, stated in a press release. “Our children and young adults are our future and that’s why we make this investment on #GivingTuesday.”

Giving Tuesday is the annual day of giving celebrated internationally on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving.

The UA Cossatot Foundation Legacy 2020 Campaign focuses on community members and businesses which wish to invest in the development of the college on all four campuses: De Queen, Nashville, Ashdown and Lockesburg. For every donation amount, a naming opportunity exists for those who wish to leave a legacy in the donor’s community.

“Horatio State Bank is such an asset to our community and truly cares about our people,” UA Cossatot Development Coordinator Dustin Roberts said. “The generosity they have shown to our college and students is instrumental to what our foundation does, which is helping our students reach their educational goals.”
