Thomas Curtis Jones, a long-time resident of Arlington Texas, passed away Thursday, December 6, 2018. He was 90.

Funeral: 9:30 a.m. Wednesday in Greenwood Arlington Chapel followed by Military Honors rendered at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery at 11:15 a.m. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Greenwood Arlington Chapel.

Memorials: In lieu of flowers, please make memorials to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America.

Curtis, as he was known by most, was born in Kiblah Arkansas on July 30, 1928, to Elzia Mae Hicks Jones and Tommie Jones. He married Francine Munnerlyn in 1951 in Ida, Louisiana.

He served in the Navy from 1946 – 1950 and was a true Patriot that loved his country. He then studied and graduated from Louisiana Tech with a degree in Electrical Engineerin­g and worked for several companies in the aerospace industry. After retirement, he volunteere­d for the Arlington Police Department for several years which he enjoyed immensely. His family and friends remember him for his love of aviation, sense of humor and the ability to tell a story in a simple but humorous way.

Survivors: He is survived by his wife, Francine Munnerlyn Jones; sister, Mildred Jones Johnson; three children, Brenda Jones Murphy, Russell Jones, and Teresa Jones Crouch; six grandchild­ren; and one great-grandchild.
