Trinity Christian jumped out to an 18-2 lead and the Warriors coasted in for a 57-35 win over Oden in Conference 7-A varsity boys action Friday night at Wallace Edgar Arena in Texarkana.

Trinity Christian improves to 7-9 overall and 3-4 in conference play while the Timberwolv­es slip to 8-10, 1-4.

Jakob Martin led the Warriors with 16 points, Shawn Brown added 15 and Griffin Brocato 12, including a pair of 3-pointers. Brian Kha had 13 for Oden.

Trinity Christian led 23-9 at halftime.

The Warriors’ junior varsity team also won, beating Oden, 61-36. Silas Nix paced the winners with 19 points and Zach Graf had 14. Coby Wilburn had 16 and Jay Wilburn 12 for the losers.

Trinity’s junior high girls also won, 24-23, with Hannah Leeper and Lani Lindsey scoring eight points each for the hosts.

The Warriors next game is Tuesday at Caddo Hills in

VIVIAN, La.—LibertyEyl­au fell to Walnut Hill in their eighth grade game in the Vivian (La.) basketball tournament, 45-38.

Russell Colllins led the Leopards with eight points.

L-E beat Walnut Hill in their seventh grade game, 46-31.

Tamarcus Gray led the Leopards with 18 points and teammate Ahkari Johnson added nine points.
