Fouke girls defeat Smackover to advance in playoffs
CENTERPOINT, Ark.—Fouke throttled Smackover, 66-29, in a conference 7-3A playoff game Tuesday night.
Taylor Hardin paved the way for the Lady Panthers with 20 points and Mallory Oliver complemented with 18 points of her own.
Fouke went pedal-to-the-medal in the first half, outscoring the Lady Buckaroos 26-7 in the first frame and 22-4 in the second, to give themselves a 37-point lead.
The Panthers coasted to the finish line in the second half breaking even with Smackover for 12 points in the third and six in the final quarter.
Fouke plays Centerpoint Thursday at Centerpoint.

Hughes Springs 53, Ore City 51
HUGHES SPRINGS, Texas— Hughes Springs overcame Ore City, 53-51, Tuesday night.
The contest was decided by Keyshawn Simmons who hit a game winning triple for the Mustangs with 4.8 seconds left in the fourth quarter.
Simmons led Hughes Springs with 14 points and Trayvon Kennedy added 10 points of his own.
In the opening quarter the Mustangs kept pace with the Rebels, 11-10. After two, Hughes Springs gained a two-point edge.
The third quarter belonged to Ore City, outscoring the Mustangs 19-12, but the final stanza resulted in Hughes Springs’ come-frombehind victory after outscoring the Rebels 17-10, culminating to Simmons three-pointer.
Hooks 78, Redwater 58
REDWATER, Texas—Leonard Brice’s 21 points helped lead Hooks over Redwater in their district finale of the season.
J.J. Johnson added 17 points for the Hornets, while teammates Riley Hamilton contributed 14 points and Connor Price chipped in 10 points.
Marck Robertson led the Dragons with 20 points, while teammates Parker Gravitt and Greg Menah each added 13 points apiece.
Linden-Kildare 84, Maud 39
LINDEN-KILDARE, Texas— Linden-Kildare slammed Maud, 84-39, Tuesday night at home.
The Tigers (20-5, 10-2) were led Marquise Jones, who had a game high 27 points and 19 rebounds, and Ty Patterson, who added 24 points and 21 rebounds.
As a a team Linden-Kildare sank eight three-pointers and only committed five fouls.
The Cardinals were led by Payton Windham with 13 points and Kasen Minter contributed 11 points, including three triples.
Maud’s jayvee squad defeated Linden-Kildare 51-46.
Cason Lamb led the Cardinals with 25 points and received help from Nate Bro who had 12 points of his own.
Jonathan Owen led the Tigers with 17 points. DQ Harrison added 15 points and Vincent Teeters tacked on 10.

Tigers win invitational
CANTON, Texas—Texas High won the Canton Invitational Tuesday at the Van Zandt Country Club by a score of 309 in the 15-team field.
Camden Robertson led THS with a score of 74, Carter Maneth finished with a score of 76, Nick Kane ended with a score of 78. Jack Wilson and Will Patterson each shot a score of 81.
