Free Tax Preparatio­n by AARP Volunteers

20th Annual TAVC Chili Cook-off

11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday Texarkana College, Truman Arnold Center 2500 N. Robison Road, Texarkana, Texas Area cooks will compete in the business, civic group and individual categories. There will be awards for “People’s Choice” and “Best Presentati­on.” Funds raised will be used to purchase a new van to take local veterans to the Shreveport VA Medical Center. Tickets are $6.
