GLORIA MORPHEW
Mrs. Gloria Morton Morphew, age 83, of Texarkana, Arkansas, died Wednesday, February 13, 2019, in a local nursing home.
Mrs. Morphew was born December 31, 1935, in Genoa, Arkansas. She was a member of the Boyd Community Church and was retired from Texarkana Water Utilities. She was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and the 54 Lunch Bunch. She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Morphew, a sister Nadine Sims, a brother-in-law Fred Hacker, and a grandson Adam Morphew.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, James and Penny Morphew of Texarkana, Texas, two daughters and one sonin-law, Jennifer Upchurch and Julie and Neal Fletcher of Genoa, Arkansas, three sisters and two brothersin-law, Patsy and Kenneth Hon, Gail Hacker, and Freda and Jim Tweedle, all of Genoa, Arkansas, six grandchildren, Amy (John) Payne, Stephen (Tiffany) Upchurch, Kristen (Dustin) Icenhower, Jared Morphew, Gibson (Lawson) Barker, and Hunter Fletcher, and five great-grandchildren, Langley Leverett, Anabeth Icenhower, Brayden Upchurch, Zachary Payne, and Addyson Upchurch.
A celebration of her life will be at 10:00 A. M. Saturday at the Texarkana Funeral Home Arkansas Chapel with Rev. Charles Bell officiating. Burial will be at Cedar Grove Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 PM until 8 PM Friday.
