Eagle Open House

9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday Texas A&M University-Texarkana 7101 University Ave., Texarkana, Texas Students, families and guests will have opportunity to speak with representatives from the university’s multiple departments regarding admissions, financial aid, veteran services and student organizations.

All prospective students will enter a drawing for a $1,000 scholarship and other door prizes.

You’ve Got Mail

2 to 3 p.m. Saturday Discovery Place 215 Pine St., Texarkana, Texas This event will give guests the opportunity to learn about the inventor of the mailbox, Philip B. Downing, and build a mailbox of their own. Admission is $5 for the public and Texarkana Museums System members. Admission for children 3 and under is free.
