Cheer & Jeers

JEERS: As usual, the Texarkana Gazette shows it true abhorrent colors; reference the In Our View column on gerrymandering June 29, 2019. Once again, their view is that Republicans should not lead by example but by what they can get away with. Claiming the Democrats would do the same thing is a terribly poor, immoral excuse to continue the Republicans plundering of our political system. The Gazette’s philosophy is “do unto others before they do what we are doing” to us. Deplorable, unethical, greedy, privileged, fearful Republicans only have themselves to blame for their underhanded tactics, don’t try to project your corruptness onto another party. —M.T., Texarkana, Texas
