Redwater sweeps Como-Pickton

REDWATER, Texas—Redwater’s varsity volleyball squad swept Como-Pickton at Dragon Gym Friday night, 25-12, 25-18, 25-16.

Bella Fernandez led the Lady Dragons with 14 points and teammate Sydney Hornbuckle added 12 kills.

The Dragons junior varsity squad defeated Como-Pickton, 25-13, 25-17.

Abi Morrow led Redwater with 17 service points.

Chisum tops Maud

MAUD, Texas—Maud fell to Paris Chisum in three straight sets Friday night at Cardinals Gym, 25-12, 25-23, 26-24.

Brynn Sultz led the Lady Cardinals with eight points, 15 digs, seven kills, and two blocks.

Paris Chisum won the first junior varsity match against Maud, 25-7, 25-18.

Macey McDonald led the Cardinals with three points.

Chisum won the second junior varsity match with the Cardinals, 25-11, 25-6.

Kaylin Newton led Maud with two points.

THS falls in Tyler Tournament

TYLER, Texas—Texas High’s varisty volleyball squad fell to Killeen Ellison on the second day of the Tyler Tournament Friday afternoon, 25-20, 15-25, 25-15.

Jaycee Kennedy led the Lady Tigers with 12 blocks.

THS fell to Bullard in their second match, 25-20, 25-15.

Olivia Lower led the Tigers with 10 points. Texas High fell to Mesquite Poteet in their final match of the day, 25-21, 25-16.

Ashanti Northcross led the Tigers with 16 digs.

PG stumbles at Tyler Tournament

TYLER, Texas—Pleasant Grove’s varsity volleyball squad fell to Cathage at the Tyler Tournament Friday afternoon, 25-15, 25-8.

The Lady Hawks fell to Elysian Fields in their second match, 20-25, 27-25, 25-22.

Macy Young finished with 18 assists for the Hawks and teammate Ella Nichols added 18 digs.

Katie Ferguson contribute­d 11 assists and seven kills for the Hawks, while teammate Georgia Cobb swatted nine kills.

PG fell to Beckville in their final match of the day, 27-25, 26-24.

Nichols finished with 10 digs for the Hawks and teammate Young added 10 assists.
