Frances M. Johnson, age, 92, of Texarkana, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, September 17, 2019, in a local hospice facility. Mrs. Johnson was born September

11, 1927, in the Rondo Community and lived in or near Texarkana her entire life. She worked several years at Lone Star Army Ammunition Plant and retired after working in family businesses. She was a member of Northern Hills Baptist Church and for many years taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School classes. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, camping with friends at Lake Greeson, and traveling to many parts of the United States and aboard. Her greatest joy was being a loving wife, mother, and “Nanaw” to her grandkids.

Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her parents, and siblings; her husband, James A. Terry, Jr., and her son James A. Terry III.

She is survived by her husband, Bryon Johnson of Texarkana, Arkansas; her daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn and Royce Granberry of Texarkana, Texas; her grandchild­ren Paul and Anna Granberry of Bend, Oregon; and Tanya Powell of Texarkana, Texas; her great grandchild­ren, Reagan Granberry, Paige Flournoy, Connor and Maddison Powell, Christen Coker, and Dalton Ward. Her extended family includes step-sons Robert “Bo” Johnson (Debra) of Marksville, Louisiana, Steve Johnson (Debbie) of Covington, Louisiana, and step-grandchild­ren, Kayla, Robbie, and Byron Johnson, Jr., Bridgett Killin, numerous nieces and nephews, and special friends Mike Gardner, Butch and Paula Harris, Jimmie Powers, Billie and Dub Taylor.

A Private graveside service, under the direction of Texarkana Funeral Home, Arkansas, will be held Friday, September 20, 2019 at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

A memorial service for Mrs. Johnson will be held at 11:00 A. M. Friday, at Northern Hills Baptist Church with Dr. Roger Copeland officiatin­g.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 A. M. to 11:00 A. M. prior to service time.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the New Building Fund of Northern Hills Baptist Church, 6000 Sammy Lane, Texarkana, Arkansas 71854, and Hospice of Texarkana, 2407 Galleria Oaks Drive, Texarkana, Texas 75503.
