DORIS WILSON

Doris Hazel Wilson, age 91, of Texarkana, Texas, died Thursday, March 19, 2020, in a local hospital.

Mrs. Wilson was born November 23, 1928, Bradley, Arkansas and was of the Pentecostal faith. She met her husband, James Wilson, where they both attended the Arkansas School for the Blind in Little Rock. They later married in Texarkana, Texas. They moved to California in 1965, when a job opportunity for Mr. Wilson arose. She moved back to Texarkana in 2013 to be near her family.

Doris was a wonderful homemaker, a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and she will be greatly missed. She taught her children and grandchildren about God and her prayers for them will bear fruit.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Wilson and an infant daughter, Sharron Gail Wilson.

Survivors include two daughters and one son-inlaw, Linda and Joe Hotzel, and Sharon Abreu; one brother, Timothy Dinkins; three grandchildren, Bobbi Whitlock, Paul Inman, and Alexander Abreu; eight great-grandchildren, Austin, Jaden, McKenzie, Brenden, Jasmine, Remington, Ashley, and Tyler; and several great-great-grandchildren along with other relatives.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday, March 24, 2020, at Chapelwood Memorial Gardens, North Chapel with Rev. Johnny Murphy officiating.

There is no set visitation time, but the body will lie in state on Monday, March 23rd.
