COVID-19 status report: Closings, openings, adjustments

The Texarkana, Arkansas Animal Care and Adoption Center remains open but its doors are locked. Visitors must call ahead and make an appointment. The phone number is 870-773-6388.
All Texarkana Museums System properties are closed to the public, though some upcoming programs may be offered online to help the community stay connected remotely. Raising Cane’s restaurants are open and continue to serve customers with takeout and drive-thru service.
The Gladys Morriss Stone Soup Luncheon, sponsored by the Texarkana Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary, has been cancelled. The luncheon was scheduled for Thursday, April 23.
Texas Dairy Queens continue to serve customers with drive-thru and take-out options, as well as delivery and online ordering where available.
The Sixth Annual Twice as Fine Texarkana Wine Festival, benefiting the Alzheimer’s Alliance Tri-State Area, has been postponed in the wake of COVID-19 concerns. Originally scheduled for May 2 at Spring Lake Park, it will move to Saturday, October 10.
All Texarkana Independent School District schools are closed through May 1.
All Pleasant Grove Independent School District schools are closed through May 1.
Arby’s restaurants continue to keep their drive-thru windows open to serve guests. Customers can also utilize one of its delivery service partners, Door Dash or Uber Eats. A majority, but not all, of its restaurants offer delivery.
Friends of the (Texarkana) Library bookstore is closed until further notice.
The Perot Theatre is closed until at least April 19.
The Regional Arts Center is closed until at least March 31. All art camps are cancelled until further notice. A link on trahc.org will provide “Lunch Doodles” a daily arts activity with Mo Williams.

The 35th annual Governor Conway Days Arts and Crafts Festival in Bradley, Arkansas, has been cancelled.
The Party with Picassos “Roaring ’20s Style” events have been postponed to May 27-30.
TEDxUAHT at the University of Arkansas-Hope’s Hempstead Hall, Hope, Ark., has been postponed until Aug. 15.
Texarkana Symphony Orchestra’s “Happy Birthday, Ludwig!” at the Perot Theatre, has been postponed until Aug. 22. Also cancelled is the March 30 chamber concert. Postponed is the the April 27 chamber concert to a later date. For ticket information call 870-773-3401.
Heritage Home Health & Hospice and Ledwell’s Songwriters on the Edge of Texas Concert & Golf Tournament to benefit CASA for Children has been postponed indefinitely.
Music City Texas Theater, 108 Legion St., Linden, Texas, has postponed the Gene Watson show until Oct. 31. Ticket refunds available.
Williams Memorial United Methodist Church has cancelled its 16th annual plant sale that was to be on April 4.
