LARRY BAXTER

Larry Gene Baxter, age 70, of Texarkana, Arkansas, went to be with his Lord and Savior Thursday, July 30, 2020 surrounded by his family at his home.

Mr. Baxter was born August 6, 1949 in DeQueen, Arkansas. He was a retired electrical control engineer with Day and Zimmerman Inc. and a veteran of the United States Navy. He was also a member of Fairland Holiness Church. Mr. Larry can best be described as a loving and kind man never wavering from the truth. If you were his friend, you were a friend for life. He was preceded in death by his brother in-law Roger Teer and his first wife Yvonne Baxter.

He is survived by his wife, Charlotte Baxter of Texarkana, Texas; his mother, Mildred Baxter of Fouke, Arkansas; one daughter and son in-law, Melisha and Brian Gather of Fouke, Arkansas; one son and daughter in-law, Laridael and Jennifer Baxter of Hallsville, Texas; one step son and step daughter in-law, David and Stacie Brown of McKinney, Texas; one step daughter and step son in-law, Christina and Steve Vaughn of Little Rock, Arkansas; two sisters and one brother in-law, Teresa Teer and Brenda and Denny Roberts both of Fouke, Arkansas; nine grandchildren, Colton Baxter and his wife Bailey, Chase Baxter, Lily Baxter, Dylan Gather, Brianna Gather, Megan Brown, Anna Brown, Allen Barnard, Griffin Barnard and a host of friends and other relatives.

Funeral Services will be 2pm Sunday, August 2, 2020 at Fairland Holiness Church with Rev. Lloyd Shuecraft officiating. Burial will be in Independence Cemetery under the direction of Texarkana Arkansas Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends at Fairland Holiness Church Saturday evening from 6 to 8 pm.
