POWER RANKINGS
1. Clemson (2-0, 1-0 ACC): The Tigers kick off a stretch of six straight ACC games, so perhaps QB Trevor Lawrence will get to play into a second half.
2. Notre Dame (2-0, 1-0): Thanks to a postponement, the Fighting Irish haven’t played since Sept. 19, so Notre Dame remains a largely unknown quantity.
3. Miami (3-0, 2-0): Miami crushed rival Florida State 52-10 last week, becoming the first team in the history of the rivalry to score 50 or more points.
4. North Carolina (1-0, 1-0): The Tar Heels will take the field for the first time in three weeks due to COVID-19 rules at Boston College.
5. Pitt (3-0, 2-0): Coming off a win over Louisville, the Panthers, 3-0 for the first time since 2014, should be able to flex against N.C. State's offense.
6. Virginia Tech (1-0, 1-0): The Hokies produced an impressive performance in their season opener, strolling past the Wolfpack despite missing 23 players.
7. Louisville (1-2, 0-2): The Cardinals’ offense was slowed considerably by Pitt last week, surrendering seven sacks and converting only 1-of-11 third downs.
8. Virginia (1-0, 1-0): Virginia may be hard-pressed to match last year’s ninewin season, but the Cavs are off to a good start.
9. Boston College (2-0, 1-0): Quarterback Phil Jurkovec has emerged as Mr. Clutch for the Eagles, who will be in the national spotlight against North Carolina.
10. N.C. State (1-1, 1-1): N.C. State continues to play the quarterback shuffle. Bailey Hockman gave way to Devin Leary in a loss at Virginia Tech last week.
11. Syracuse (1-2, 1-2): Syracuse got off the schneid by rolling past Georgia Tech last week thanks to freshman running back Sean Tucker.
12. Wake Forest (0-2, 0-2): Last week’s game against Notre Dame was postponed, so the Deacons are still searching for win No. 1 in 2020.
13. Georgia Tech (1-2, 1-1): The Yellow Jackets helped Syracuse to its first win of the season last week, turning the ball over five times and committing 15 penalties.
14. Florida State (0-2, 0-2): Florida State faces FCS opponent Jacksonville State which has former Clemson back-up QB Zerrick Cooper back for a third season.
15. Duke (0-3, 0-3): Duke quarterback Chase Brice was intercepted four times in a loss to Virginia last week and the upcoming schedule is unforgiving.
