Bennie Wayne Booth passed away Wednesday, October 21, 2020 at his home in De Kalb, Texas. He was 66.

Bennie was born October 17, 1954 in Clarksvill­e, Texas to Bert A. and Alice Levenia Baird Booth. He was a Supply Tech for AECOM and was a former Captain of the De Kalb Volunteer Fire Department. He was a member of the De Kalb Masonic Lodge #9 and the Bowie County Firefighte­rs Associatio­n, having earned the distinctio­n of “Firefighte­r of the Year” in 1996. Bennie was a rodeo bull fighter for a number of years. He belonged to the Church of Christ.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.

He is survived by his wife, Paula Burrow Booth of De Kalb, Texas; two sons and two daughters-in-law, EO1 Anthony Wayne and Ashley Booth of Plato, Missouri and Zachary and Samantha Booth of De Kalb, Texas; one daughter and son-in-law, Brandi JaNell and Dakota Elliott of Frankston, Texas; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Sarah and Richard Provence of De Kalb, Texas and Lynda and Tim Grant of Longview, Texas; eight grandchild­ren, Braelyn Booth, Luke Booth, Adaline Booth, Ethan Booth, Riley Cornett, William Cornett, Wyatt Elliott, and Oaklynn Elliott; three aunts, Frances Murphree of Florrisant, Colorado, Jackie Kimble of De Kalb, Texas, and Mary Combs of Mineola, Texas; and numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

Graveside services will be 3:00 P.M. Sunday, October 25, 2020 at Woodmen Cemetery in De Kalb, Texas with Rev. Steve Minter and Buddy Rhea officiatin­g.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Saturday, October 24, 2020 at Bates Family Funeral Home in De Kalb, Texas.
