GREG ROWE 1. What are your top priorities if elected into office and how do you plan to address them?

I would like to make Hooks a nicer place to live. City regulations need to be enforced to make sure properties are maintained. I would like to hire more employees for the city maintenance department to better distribute their workload. I intend to apply for grants to make much-needed repairs and upgrades to the city’s water and sewer systems. I also intend to work with the police department to develop a plan to address the worsening drug problems.

2. What do you plan to do to serve the people of Hooks and make sure their voices are heard?

I am open and available to meet and speak with anyone and welcome the chance to hear what our citizens want from their city government. I also encourage everyone to attend the city council meetings to ask questions or voice their opinions.

3. What is the biggest challenge the COVID-19 pandemic has brought to Hooks and how do you plan to address it?

COVID-19 has not had a large impact on our town as a whole.

4. What are your thoughts about the city’s finances and what program(s) would you like to see added or done away with?

I plan to review the city’s finances and see where they can be handled better so that funds go where they are needed most. I would like to ensure that money is not being spent needlessly or wastefully.

5. Under what circumstances, if any, would you consider raising taxes?

I do not feel there is any reason to raise taxes in Hooks.
