-

August 20, 1990 - March 17, 2021

Cassondra Gale Riddle, age 30, of Royse City, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, March 17, 2021 in Wylie, Texas. She is survived by her sons: Luke Alexander Webb, age 11, and Gabriel Ashton Rhodes, age 8; her siblings: Daniel L. Riddle of Denver, Colorado; Tiffany A. Fry and husband Matthew of Fayetteville, Georgia; F. Storm Kwiatkowski and husband Rudy of Irvine, California; Katrina J. Gay and husband Beau of Centerton, Arkansas, and Robert Gregory Fuller of Rowlett, Texas; her parents Donald and Laura Riddle of Texarkana, Arkansas and Donna and John Garrett of Rockwall, Texas; her grandparents, Ronald and Wanda Riddle of Mena, Arkansas; Barbara Blackketter of Bradenton, Florida, and Bill and Flora McChristian of Mena, Arkansas; 6 nephews, 3 nieces, and a great many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

She is preceded in death by her grandfather, George Montague Blackketter of Bradenton, Florida.

Known mainly as “Cassie,” she was a consummate athlete, an award-winning long distance runner, pole vaulter, and cheerleader. She was a talented artist and musician who enjoyed arts and crafts and teaching others about physical fitness, becoming a yoga instructor and track coach. She started her own business, Royse City Dance Academy in 2016. But her greatest role was as a loving mother to both Luke and Gabriel, born with a rare condition that severely limits his mobility. Her devotion to her sons was an inspiration to all who knew her.

Cassie was a student at Texas A&M Commerce studying to become a livestock veterinarian. She was scheduled to graduate this spring. The University has agreed to award Cassie a posthumous Bachelor of Science degree.

Cassie was a beloved daughter, granddaughter, sister, niece, cousin, and friend.

Cassie is considered by many to be a superstar, and her light will continue to shine, though its duration on Earth has ended far too early. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends. As she taught Gabriel to remind ourselves how we are strong, we will always remember these words when we remember his mother: “Strong muscles, strong mind, strong heart.”
