Customers line up to make Burlington’s local grand opening a hit

TEXARKANA, Texas — Several hours into Friday’s grand opening of the Burlington store here, lines of customers continued to wind through the aisles of merchandise. Presentation of inventory was one of its notable features.

“It is clean, organized, more so than the ones in Shreveport and Dallas,” said local shopper Cyharra Meadors. “I do love Burlington. The prices and selection are what bring me back. Just came here to do some general shopping for my family.”

Another local shopper, Courtni Green, was in the store Friday with her threeyear-old nephew. With a cartful of merchandise, her evaluation of the new Burlington was similar.

“I love coming here, shopping for my kids and myself,” she said. “I love the prices on clothes.”

Some of the shoppers reported that before the opening here, they shopped at Burlington stores in Little Rock, Shreveport and Dallas.

“Great range of products here,” said Linda McGill of Arkadelphia, Arkansas. “The one in Little Rock is not as organized as this one. But the thing about Burlington is the prices, they just can’t be beat. We will be back after they have restocked their goods.”

(Burlington is located at 3323 Mall Drive.)
