Rain forces postponements

TEXARKANA, Texas — For the second week in a row, heavy rainfall and wet field conditions forced Friday’s schedule of games to be postponed for much of the area.

The District 15-5A softball and baseball games at Texas High were moves to Monday. The Lady Tigers host Hallsville with junior varsity at 4:30 p.m. and varsity at 6, and the Tiger baseball team will face the Bobcats at 7 p.m.

In District 15-4A baseball, Gilmer at Liberty-Eylau and Pittsburg at Pleasant Grove were pushed back until today.

The Leopards will host the Buckeyes at 1 p.m. at H.E. Markham Park, and the Hawks are home against the Pirates at 6 p.m.
