MARCUS MCPHERSON

Marcus Allen McPherson, son, brother, spouse, best friend, “Coach”, went home to be with his Savior, Monday, April 12, 2021, at his home, at the age of 38. Marcus was born January 8, 1983, in Leesville, Louisiana, to Anthony and Penny Greenwood. He loved hunting, fishing, camping, and just being outdoors, or going on a spontaneous road trip, usually without telling Heather where they were going. Marcus was a millwright by trade and was good with his hands, especially wood working. He was a patient man who had a spontaneous, prankster fun loving side as well who loved coaching his team, the Bat’titude’s, and spending time with his family, for they were his life. He was preceded in death by his father, paternal grandparents, Henry and Cordelia Greenwood, maternal grandfather W.D. McPherson.

He is survived by his spouse, Heather Baker of Bloomburg, Texas; his children, Makyna Clements, Ayden McPherson, Presley Dubuisson, Michael Dubuisson all of Bloomburg, Texas, Kylie Carnley, Javin Gunn of Atlanta, Texas; mother, Penny Perkins, of Texarkana, Texas; brother, Wayne Greenwood and spouse Rhanna of Texarkana, Texas; sister, Cheyenne Perkins of Texarkana, Texas; grandmother, Charline Cichoski of Atlanta, Texas; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Services will be 2:00 pm, Saturday, April 17, 2021, at Faith Community Nazarene Church, Atlanta, Texas.

Visitation will be Friday, April 16, 2021 from 6 pm to 8 pm at Hanner Funeral Service.

Interment will be in Salem Cemetery, Bloomburg, Texas.
