Tourism group promotes Independence Day events near Broken Bow
BROKEN BOW, Okla. — Local folks and tourists will find many ways to enjoy festive fun this Fourth of July as a regional tourism company has compiled a list of free and festive events in the area.
Things To Do In Hochatown offers a webpage and social media outlets that provide resources, information, updates and announcements for McCurtain County, Oklahoma, and surrounding areas at ThingstodoinHochatown. com, according to a news release.
Upcoming Independence Day events include:
July 1: Choctaw Casino in Broken Bow. July 2: Idabel High School in Idabel.
July 3: Field of Dreams fundraiser at Samaritan Fields in De Queen, Arkansas — starts at 5 p.m. with a live deejay, obstacle course, food, FIFA tournament and more as all proceeds go to Samaritan Fields
Jul 4: Wright City Rodeo at Rodeo Grounds Road in Wright City — bareback horses, ranch broncs, kid events, barrels, calf rope, team rope, bulls and fireworks.
July 4: Hochatown Volunteer Fire Department at Hochatown Trade Days in Hochatown — fireworks show beginning at dusk with donations going toward equipment for the Hochatown Volunteer Fire Department.
