WEDNESDAY KENNETH GALLOWAY

Kenneth Earl Galloway, 86, of Ashdown, AR passed away Sunday, September 5, 2021 in Texarkana, TX. He was born June 9, 1935 in Tom, OK to the late John and Bertie (Jones) Galloway. M r . Galloway moved to Ashdown from Tom in 1964. He worked for Brown and Root building the papermill in Ashdown and eventually went to work for the papermill and worked for 31 years when he retired in 2000. Mr. Galloway was generous and kind and loved his family. He also enjoyed auction sales, collecting coins, playing (and winning) dominos and marbles. He loved gardening, where he shared his vegetables with all of his family, friends and neighbors. Mr. Galloway also enjoyed hunting and fishing. He is preceded in death by one son Stephen J. Galloway and two brothers, Willie D. and Calvin Galloway.

Survivors include his loving wife of 62 years, Mamie Galloway of Ashdown, one son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Sandy Galloway of Haynesville, LA, two daughters and sons-in-law, Vickie and Greg Eggleston and Mary and Garland Baker, all of Ashdown, two sisters and one brother-in-law, Carlene and Mike Seven and Rosa Lee Preskitt, all of Ashdown, seven grandchildren, Brad Duncan & Samantha Meyers, Jamie Galloway, Jacob Baker, Kali & Jerry Sexton, Mandi Duncan, James and Kaylee Eggleston and Dymond Eggleston, lots of nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors and his special dog, Roxie.

Visitation will be Wednesday, September 8, 2021 from 6:00 – 8:00 at Madden Funeral Home in Ashdown. Services will be Thursday, September 9, 2021 at 10:00 at the funeral home with Jerry Galloway officiating. Interment to follow at Tom Cemetery in Tom, OK.
