Michael Riley also had eight tackles, and Tracy Revels added six stops.

COACH DEWASKI DAVIS: “We worked the last two weeks to fix a lot of things that haunted us in our first game: we weren’t finishing drives and capitalizing on getting in the red zone. We pushed the kids really hard during our open week to clean up some things; we say we’re our own worst enemy, so we just have to play to our ability and take care of ourselves.

“We played 7-on-7 (during the summer) and scored a lot of points, and to not score in our opener was a little bit of a shock to us. We knew we were better than that and felt like we made some big strides in this game. Our kids played with purpose and intensity.”
