Michael Lee “Mike” Payne of New Boston, Texas passed away Saturday, October 30, 2021 in a Texarkana, Texas hospital. He was 60.

Mike was born November 3, 1960 in Florala, Alabama. He was an avid outdoorsma­n. He loved fishing and hunting, but most of all, he loved spending as much time as possible with his four grandchild­ren. They were the absolute light of his life and they knew it and they loved their Paw Paw dearly.

He was a member of First Baptist Church in De Kalb, Texas. He was the owner/ operator of New Boston Machine and Fabricatio­n in Malta, Texas.

Mike is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Stacey Payne of New Boston, Texas; his parents, Richard and Sue Payne of Theodore, Alabama; his mother-in-law, Nettie Eads of Texarkana, Arkansas; his children, Brad and Kristen Payne of De Kalb, Texas and Wesley and Mollie Payne of Fouke, Arkansas; his grandchild­ren, Judson, Jake, Presley, and Kennedy; his sisters, Linda Allison and her husband, Kenny of Porter, Texas and Susie Payne of Theodore, Alabama; his brother, Keith Payne and his wife, Tammy of Mobile, Alabama; his sister-in-law, Kellie Clark and her husband, Brad of Gurdon, Arkansas; his brother-in-law, Marc Renfro and wife, Joy of Mobile, Alabama; numerous nieces, nephews, and many, many friends.

Mike loved life and lived it to the fullest with his family and his many dear friends who he considered family too.

His wish was not to have a service, but we will have a celebratio­n of life at a later date.
