Arkansas High girls defeat Crossett

CAMDEN, Ark. — Arkansas High defeated Crossett, 43-24, in the Harmony Grove basketball tournament on Thursday.

Seaira Watson led the Lady Backs with 11 points and Taylor Reed added 10 points.

Trinity wins pair

TEXARKANA, Ark. — Trinity Christian School defeated Legacy Academy in boys and girls games.

The Warriors won the boys game, 83-61. Leading scorers were Zach Graf with 39 points, Marley Franklin with 17 and Micah Pete with 12 (4-of-5 from 3-point line). Halston Baca was 1 point shy of a triple-double. He had 11 blocks, 15 rebounds and 9 points.

The Lady Warriors rallied to win 44-39 after trailing 29-20 at halftime. Landi Williamson led the way with 15 points and Jordan Dougan added 13 points and 4 steals. Aubrey Phillips had a team-high 5 steals.

Fouke 58, McLeod 53

McLEOD, Texas — Fouke went on a 17-9 fourth-quarter run to pull out a victory over McLeod.

The Lady Panthers were led by Mallorie Scoggins with 12 points, Connie Ross added 11 and Ashlyn Caudle 10. Nine players scored for Fouke, which made a dozen 3-pointers in the game.

Ella Lambeth paced the Lady Longhorns with a game-high 17 points, Kenslee Cross had 11 and Stormy Johnson 10.

Q. City 49, Hughes Springs 40

QUEEN CITY, Texas — Queen City beat the Lady Mustangs, 49-40, behind Mallori Stringer with 10 points and Jamecia Cook added 9.

Hughes Springs leading scorer was Karmen Searcy with 20 points.

The Bulldogs won the JV contest, 20-10. Madison Bailey had 7 points for QC.

Avinger 52, Daingerfie­ld 47

HARLETON, Texas — Huda Hanan tossed in 28 points to spark Avinger past Daingerfie­ld.

Haylee Downs added 11 for the

Lady Indians, Samantha Chandler had 7 and Charlene Kress 6.

Subvarsity TMS wins three

MARSHALL, Texas — Texas Middle School won three of four games against Marshall Middle School.

TMS won the eighth-grade “A” game, 28-21, with Taryne Stiger scoring 14 points for the winners.

TMS also won the eighth-grade “B” contest, 28-13. Gracie Gibbs had 8 points for the victors.

Texarkana own the seventh-grade “A” matchup, 25-13, with Zoe Aldridge scoring 10 for TMS.

Marshall won the seventh-grade “B” game, 12-11. Laityn Sprawls had 3 points for TMS.

Arkansas wins, 14-5

TEXARKANA, Ark. — Arkansas Middle School defeated Foreman, 14-5, in seventh-grade girls basketball action.

Savannah Wilder led the Lady Backs with 7 points.
