Mexican meat store is coming to New Boston Road
TEXARKANA, Texas — For the past several months, a property on Robison Road has been a hub of activity in preparation for the opening of Los Abuelos Meat Market & Taqueria.
“I’ve been in the grocery business over 20 years,” owner Cristino Rubacaba said. “This is my first business as an owner, however.”
The sign out front displays many of the products that will be available there, including groceries, freshmade baked goods, meat, fruit and vegetables — and a deli.
“This place will draw people from all over, not just Texarkana,” he said. “They will be coming from De Queen, Atlanta, Hope, New Boston and other nearby communities.”
Rubacaba’s son, Christopher, has been helping extensively in the setup and construction phase and will be involved in store operations.
