Mr. David Roland Moore, age 83, passed away at his home in Fouke, Arkansas, on Friday, April 22, 2022 under the care of Dierksen Hospice. He was surrounded by his family.

Mr. Moore was born January 11, 1939, to Albert and Lois Spears Moore of Texarkana, Arkansas. He graduated in 1957 from Arkansas High School in Texarkana where his love for airplanes and flying was furthers by his membership in the Civil Air Patrol. Immediatel­y after high school, he joined the United

States Marines, where he served his country from 19571961. He obtained the rank of Lance Corporal and was an expert marksman. His overseas station was in Okinawa.

Mr. Moore was a computer operator and programmer for Bock & Bock and ACI in Dallas, Texas before retiring. After that, he worked in lawn and garden for Walmart. He was an avid reader, who enjoyed learning even through his last years. A very witty man, he loved to laugh and joke. He was an artist and a photograph­er. He was a great Dallas Cowboys fan & loved to watch almost any team play football on TV. As long as he was able, he attended football and baseball games of his step grandsons, even if he had to watch the game from the car up on the hill.

Mr. Moore had prepared all his life for his home going after this earthly life. He was a devout Christian who served as a deacon and an elder at the Beltline Church of Christ in Irving, Texas, working in many areas, especially the prison ministry. He worshipped at the North Main Church of Christ after moving to Lewisville, Texas. Currently, he was a member of the Hampton Church of Christ in Texarkana, although he was home bound since COVID first hit. He truly missed worshippin­g with his Church family these last couple of years, having to settle for viewing the service online.

Mr. Moore was predecease­d by his parents, his first wife of 52 years Alice Moore and a grandson Charles David Moore. He is survived by his wife Mickey Mcadams Moore, two sons and daughters-in-law, Michael David and Meridith Moore, of Lewisville, Texas and Matthew Gant and Laure Moore of Colorado, three grandchild­ren, Amelia, Luke, and Grant Moore of Colorado, one brother and sister in-law Grant and Riga Moore of Fouke, Arkansas, his stepchildr­en Lisa and Chuck Tweedy, Randy and Reyna Mcadams, Jon Mark and Angie Mcadams, step grandchild­ren Tyler and Braley Mcelwee, Kobie and Jordan Mcadams, Josh Tweedy, Holly and Thomas Hammons, Jacob Garrett, Samantha and Patrick Flanagan, Braden Mcadams, Perla Rodriguez, Grayson Mcadams, Danna Rodriguez, and step great-grandchild­ren Paxton, Hudson, and Emmy Mcelwee.

A celebratio­n of his life is scheduled for May 7, 2022, at the Milkey-mason Funeral Home, 740 S. Edmonds Lane, Lewisville, Texas 75067, with the viewing at 1:00 p.m. followed by the Funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Jerry Mckey and Jerry Monholland will conduct the service. Interment will be at Old Hall Cemetery, Lewisville, Texas.

In lieu of flowers, contributi­ons may be made to Truth for Today World Mission School which exists to help native Christians to teach the Gospel of Christ in their own languages outside the USA. Truth for Today, 2209 Benton, Searcy, Arkansas 72143.
