CHRISTOPHER BRENT BYRD SR.

Dallas, Texas native, parents Joe Payton and Dorothy E. Byrd-McGary. Raised in Texarkana, Texas attended Liberty-Eylau Independent School District. Chris accomplishments and rewards two terms Home Ed; baking pies and mastering grandmother Thelma Byrd famous biscuits; playing football position center player; basketball 3 pointer winning many competitions; armorbearer for Grandfather Joseph Byrd and Pastor Green at St. Paul Baptist Church an usher, and youth tenor choir member.

After, adolescence era Byrd enlisted in the US Navy, first tour US Kitty Hawk CV-63 to Philadelphia, PA; Mar del Plata, Buenos Aires Province, Argentina; South America, St. Thomas, The Virgin Islands; Valparaiso, Chile; and San Diego, CA. Second tour the USS Fort McHenry LSD-43 an Engine Men 3rd class Petty Officer in The West Pack locations Hawaii, Hong Kong, Singapore, Bahrain, Malaysia, Australia and Dubai in the Persian Gulf. Our CREATOR blessed Chris with both, fatherhood May 17, 1990, Christopher Brent Byrd Jr. to carry on his name and genes, a stepfather, while serving his country and retiring from the US Navy with an *HONORABLE DISCHARGE*.

Byrd returned to Texarkana, Texas worked as a cement layer, heavy machinery worker, forklift and hauser driver. Moved to Dallas, Texas met wife Angela D. Hawkins-Byrd, love at first site and venture in the trucking industry. Chris spent his mature years serving The Church at Nineveh under the late Pastor Angie Dickson and current Pastor Andre Reed. He enjoyed feeding, teaching, and mentoring all people throughout his travels on these unforgiven dangerous highways. Byrd job allowed him to travel the entire coast, venturing into over 46 states. He never met strangers just increased his family and kelp people laughing. Famous for his spicy turkey necks, chicken gizzards, deep fried whole Cajun turkeys and his daily challenges on his beloved highways. He was a loving happy gentleman; ready to lend a hand to anyone. A big kid at heart loved wrestling with his grandkids, a role model, father figure, mentor, no-nonsense standup guy. Called away to quickly an abruptly, many are hearts broken and most are in disbelief. WE WILL CHERISH AND LOVE OUR GIANT ANGEL

Memorial visitation for Mr. Byrd will be 10AM to 1PM Saturday, May 28, 2022, at Haynes Mortuary. Graveside service will be 2:30 PM at Nash Cemetery, Nash, Texas. Online registration is available at www.haynesmortuary.com.
