Las Amigas Club announces 2022 debutantes

The Las Amigas Club of Texarkana introduced 15 debutantes with a reception held at the Truman Arnold Center on the campus of Texarkana College, on Saturday, August 20 at 4 p.m. About 150 guests were present to meet and greet the 2022 debutantes. Mary Warren, vice president, gave opening remarks and greetings. Texarkana College President Dr. Jason Smith extended words of welcome. Kimberly Perry introduced the members of Las Amigas Club. Cassandra Rhone introduced the speaker, Shaiquiar Smith, a former debutante. Barbara Larry introduced the debutantes and their families.

Members of the Las Amigas Club are: Karen Brown, Maxine Crittenden, Essie Dodd, Sheila Dukes, Melva Flowers, Franshicka Banks-brown, Leatrice Haskins, Barbara Larry, Alonza Mitchell, Kimberly Perry, Cassandra Rhone, Krystle Welch, Jo Ann Rice, Iwona Rockwell, Denise Thomas, Shirley Tubbs, Johnnie Wallace, Mary Warren, Rita Williams, Lillie Young and Dr. Sandra Young.

The reception marked the beginning of the 2022 debutante season. The debutantes will be presented at the Annual Las Amigas Club Debutante Ball on Dec. 30.
