Mr. Charles Ray McGee, 69, 0f Texarkana, Texas expired Wednesday, February 08, 2023 in a Texarkana, Texas hospital. Mr. McGee was born March 10, 1953 in Texarkana, Arkansas to the late Ernest McGee, Sr. and Rutha Easter McGee. He attended Booker T. Washington/Arkansas High School where he became a member of the football team an graduate of the class of 1971. Mr. McGee also was a Baptist, an avid golf player, avid San Francisco 49ers fan. He retired from the United Sates Marine Corp after 26 years of serving his country.

After retirement from Marine Corp, his working career consisted of working as security officer in the Texarkana Independen­t School District; an apartment manager for HATT and at Red River Health Care.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, LaQuinces Scott; five brothers, Timothy Nard, Sr., R. L. Nard, Jr., Calvin McGee, Alvin McGee and Earnest McGee, Jr.

Survivors include his wife, Natasha McGee of New Orleans, LA; Son, John Michael McGee, Fort Worth, TX; four daughters, Ania C. McGee, Texarkana, Felicia McGee, Rhonda McGee and Montrae McGee; brother, Rev. Lee Nard, Sr., Texarkana; two sisters, May Helen McGeeDolbe­rry-Hill and Celia McGee Green both of Texarkana; two grandchild­ren; number of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be 3:00-6:00 p.m. Friday at Lyles Funeral Home, Inc.

Funeral Services will be 12 Noon Saturday at Lyles Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with the Rev. L. B. George officiatin­g. Burial will full military rites will be in Chapelwood Memorial Garden under directions of Lyles Funeral Home, Inc.
