TEXARKANA, Ark. — For the Sake of One is kicking off spring with its second annual Bingo Night Fundraiser in early April.

The goal is to raise at least $10,000 for the the local nonprofit’s efforts to equip families with resources to ensure a stable home environment for children.

“Our mission is to share God’s love with local children and families by providing emotional, physical and spiritual support while serving as a hub to connect, equip and empower all stakeholders in the child welfare community,” Assistant Director Alyssa Beach said.

Along with fielding trust-based relational intervention, or TBRI, trauma training, For the Sake of One also collaborates with case workers and foster, adoptive and biological families.

The fundraiser will be from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, April 6 at Crossties Event Venue downtown. There will be food trucks and a cash bar.

Local businesses are donating the bingo prizes.

Proceeds also will go to the Blessing Boutique.

“That is a whole room set up like a store, but it’s all free for our clients to go and get stuff. It is stocked with clothes — any size from preemie to adult sizes — shoes, diapers, wipes, formula, to cribs and car seats,” Beach said about the boutique.

This year’s fundraiser will be presented by Ledwell.

“We are super grateful for Ledwell, and they have been super supportive of us, the kids and the community,” Beach said.

Individual tickets are $25. Sponsorships with a table for eight also are available.
