PATSY GREEN

Patsy Pearl Green, 91, of Texarkana passed away on Saturday, May 13, 2023 surrounded by her family. She was born September 24, 1931 to Henry Streety and Nina Collier Anderson in Hemphill, Texas.

Patsy was a member of First Baptist Church, Moores Lane, a certified Profession­al Secretary, a volunteer for Marshall Memorial Hospital and Christus St. Michael Hospital, member of the Sue Sanders Garden Club, Daughters of the Texas Republic, and a member of the Texarkana Art League.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Hollis Green, siblings Henry Bo Streety, Peggy Pierce, Pamela Mccuster, Ladine Yelverton, and a great great grandson Thomas Reynolds.

Survivors include her son Jim and Gloria Ratley of Georgetown, Texas; daughters Debra and Tom Moore of Texarkana, Patty and Steve Jackson of Van Alstyne, Texas; eight Grandchild­ren Leslie Simpson, Hollye (Steve) Derrick, Jennifer (Jeff) Grenier, Sarah Geter, Nikki (James) Brezik, Matthew (Edelia) Rhoades, Heather (Greg) Jessup, Rebecca (Steve) May; 16 Great grandchild­ren; one great great grandchild; sister Janie Bennett; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the Heritage Home Health and Hospice, the Oaks Assisting Living Facility, and Dr. Troy Potter for their kindness during this time.

Visitation will start at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, May 16, 2023 at Texarkana Funeral Home Chapel.

Funeral service will held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, May 16, 2023 at Texarkana Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jeff Shreve officiatin­g.

Burial will be in Algoma Cemetery in Marshall, Texas at 3:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to From His Heart Ministries, CASA, or Alzheimer’s Alliance.

Ruby Dailey, age 86, of Texarkana, Texas, died Saturday, May 13, 2023. Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Tuesday, May 16, 2023, at Chapelwood Funeral Home.

BESSIE PHILLIPS

Bessie Mae Phillips (Red), 76, of Nash, TX gained her wings May 9th, 2023, in St. Michael Christus Hospital after a battle with cancer. She was born October 21, 1946 in Hope, Arkansas. She is preceded in death by her husband Osceola Phillips Sr and her parents Alvin and Ethel Ray. Brothers: Alvin Ray, John Ray, Johnny Ray, Jackie Ray, and Richard Maxwell (Roc). Sisters: Ethel Ray, Norma Ray, and Donna Ray. Grandson, Gregory Phillips and great grandson, Geroid Jr.

She is survived by her children: Delores Teddleton, Jeanneatta Dansby, Michelle Wilson, Osceola Phillips Jr (Tracy), Thelma Sims. Brothers: Edward Ray (Tina) and Ronnie Ray (Andree), 11 grandchild­ren, 8 great grandchild­ren (with one on the way), a bonus sister: Ruthie Coleman, bonus sons: Robert Stewart Jr. and Deshun White, and a host of special nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. A granddog, Gaston, and a cat, Trevor, who laid on her deck outside her window to be by her side. She has been a lifelong member of Church of Christ, currently Twin City Church of Christ (Bro. Robert Allen). She retired from Red River Army Depot with 17 years of civil service.

Visitation will be held at Haynes Mortuary on Monday, May 15th from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM. Address: 7238 7th Street, Texarkana, TX 75501.

Service will be held at Walnut Street Church of Christ on Tuesday, May 16th at 11:00 AM. Address: 2720 Moores Lane, Texarkana, TX 75501.

Bro. Lonnie Brooks Jr., 39, of Magnolia, Arkansas, passed away Saturday, May 13th, 2023, in Stephens, Arkansas. Arrangemen­ts are pending with R.L. Reed Funeral Home in Magnolia, Arkansas.

JESSE MAGAÑA

Jesse Lee Magaña, 32, of Marshall, was born April 30, 1991 and passed away Monday, May 1, 2023. Private family burial is at Shiloh Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-davis Funeral Home, Linden.
