Robert “Clif” Perkins, 87, passed peacefully in his home in Hooks, Texas, on October 26, 2023.

He was born on February 10, 1936, in Jones, Louisiana, to Ernest B. Perkins and Essie Perkins, one of seven children.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Rev. Ray Perkins, James Perkins, and Tony Perkins.

He is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Constance Perkins, three sisters; Dorothy Whittingto­n, Jane Barlow, Nancy Pieczaski. His children Robert Perkins and wife Jill, Whitney Perkins Smith, Allyson Decanio and husband Mike Decanio, five grandchild­ren; Natalie Perkins, Gracie Perkins, Zachery Smith, Jacob Smith, and Kline Pillow, and three great-grandchild­ren; Shelton Pillow, Paxon Pittman, and Emmerson Pillow.

Clif moved to Texarkana, Arkansas, at the age of 8 and promptly began his lifelong love affair with golf, starting as a golf caddie at the South Haven Golf Course. He graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in engineerin­g and dedicated over 33 years of his life to RRAD, retiring as a supervisor of computer logistics.

Known for his friendly demeanor and willingnes­s to help others, Clif was a friend and champion to all. He never met a stranger and was unfamiliar with the word “no.” He was cherished by all who knew him and is now peacefully resting with his Savior.

A memorial service will be held at the First Presbyteri­an Church, 304 Main Street, Hooks, TX 75561, on Friday, November 3rd, 2023, at 1:00 PM. All of his friends and family are invited to attend. His family eagerly anticipate­s hearing your stories about “Clif.”
