“The Santa Clauses” - Season 2

Tim Allen (“Toy Story,” 1995) returns to the screen to keep holiday cheer alive as jolly ol’ Saint Nick in Season 2 of “The Santa Clauses,” premiering Wednesday, Nov. 8, on Disney+. a continuati­on of the hit Santa Clause film series, Season 1 of the series found Scott Calvin (Allen), aka Santa Claus, on the brink of his 65th birthday and, after being Santa for nearly 30 years, realizing he can’t keep the job forever. Learning that there’s a way for him to retire from his post, Scott sets out to find a suitable replacemen­t to don the red suit. However, Season 2 finds the Calvin family back at the North Pole after their plans to find a worthy successor proved fruitless. Now, having successful­ly saved Christmas, Scott turns his attention to his own family, training his son Cal (Austin Cane, “Never Have I Ever”) to eventually take over the “family business.” However, Scott’s plans get turned around once again when a bit of North Pole magic brings in some unexpected circumstan­ces. Created by Jack Burditt (“30 Rock”), the series is based on characters created by “The Santa Clause” (1994) writers Leo Benvenuti and Steve Rudnick.the series also stars Elizabeth Mitchell (“Outer Banks”), Eric Stonestree­t (“Modern Family”), Gabriel Iglesias (“Ferdinand,” 2017),Tracy Morgan (“30 Rock”), Marta Kessler (“The Mysterious Benedict Society”), Matilda Lawler (“Station Eleven”), Devin Bright (“The Unicorn”), Isabella Bennett (“kidcoin,” 2021), Sasha Knight (“Not Quite Narwhal”), Marcel Nahapetian (“Roswell, New Mexico”) and new talent Elizabeth Allen-dick.

“Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures” - Season 1, New Episodes

From a galaxy far, far away comes a story of learning, friendship, community and, of course, Jedi adventures: new episodes from Season 1 of “Star Wars: young Jedi Adventures” are available to stream on Disney+ Wednesday, Nov. 8.This animated series — set during The High Republic era — joins a group of Jedi Younglings as they study the magical and mysterious ways of the Force, learning all that is required to become a fully-fledged Jedi. This inaugural season has been highly regarded, earning a nomination for a 2023 Television Critics Associatio­n Award and a Common Sense Seal from Common Sense Media – an award that spotlights outstandin­g, family-friendly media – and still has plenty more to share, with a 25 episode run. So far, pilots and pirates alike have joined on planet Tenoo, making friends as they venture further across the galaxy and save the day, time and time again. “Star Wars:young Jedi Adventures” comes from creators Shellie Kvilvang (“The Powerpuff Girls”), Michael Olson (“Doc Mcstuffins”) and Josh Rimes (“Star Wars: The Bad Batch”).

“Spider-man: Far From Home” (2019)

The second film in this superhero series, Jon Watts’ (Spider-man: Homecoming,” 2017) “Spider-man: Far From Home” (2019) is now available to stream on Disney+. Starring Tom Holland (“The Crowded Room”) as Peter Parker (aka Spider-man), this adventure sees Parker first tackling travel Earthside, as the teen travels to Europe alongside his classmates. Still mourning the death of his mentor Tony Stark (“Iron Man,” 2008) — who passed during the events of “Avengers: Endgame” (2019) — Parker intends to spend his vacation relaxing and unwinding, planning to finally reveal his true feelings to classmate MJ (Zendaya, “Euphoria”). Nothing goes to plan, however, as superhuman Elemental powers begin to attack. through Venice, Prague and the multiverse at large, these Elementals have been wreaking havoc, and Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson, “Pulp Fiction,” 1994) requires Spider-man’s help to save the world once again.the 23rd film overall in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, “Spider-man: Far From Home” also stars Jake Gyllenhaal (“Nightcrawl­er,” 2014), Marisa Tomei (“My Cousin Vinny,” 1992), Jon Favreau (“Term Life,” 2016), Jacob Batalon (“Reginald the Vampire”) and more.
