Get ready for the Beast Wars as “Transforme­rs: Rise of the Beasts” is available now on Prime Video. When the planet-eating robot, Unicorn (Colman Domingo, “Fear the Walking Dead”), devours the homeworld of an advanced race of Transforme­rs known as the Maximals, Optimus Primal (Ron Pearlman, “Hellboy,” 2004) and his Beasties flee to Earth with a key that can create portals in space and time. However, the key sends the Maximals to the distant past. when Unicorn and his Terrorcon army threaten the Earth a millennia later, the Maximals awaken to help their ancestors, the Autobots, keep their new homeworld from becoming the menacingly massive robot’s lunch. However, how does one stop a robot the size of a planet? Directed by Steven Caple Jr. (“Creed II,” 2018) and with a screenplay by Joby Harold (“Obi Wan Kenobi”), Darnell Metayer (“BMF”), Josh Peters (“BMF”), Erich Hoeber (“Battleship,” 2012) and Jon Hoeber (“Meg 2:The Trench,” 2023), the film stars Anthony Ramos (“A Star Is Born,” 2018) as Noah Diaz, Luna Lauren Velez (“Spider-man: across the Spider-verse,” 2023) as Breanna Diaz, Dominique Fishback (“Swarm”) as Elena Wallace and Peter Cullen (“Bumblebee,” 2018) as Optimus Prime.the cast also includes Peter Dinklage (“Game of Thrones”), Michelle Yeoh (“Everything Everywhere All at Once,” 2022), Pete Davidson (“The King of Staten Island,” 2020), Liza Koshy (“Ruby Gillman: teenage Kraken,” 2023) and John Dimaggio (“Futurama”).

“Airplane!” (1980)

In addition to Hays and Hagerty, the cast includes Leslie Nielsen (“The Naked Gun 2½:The Smell of Fear,” 1991), Kareem Abdul-jabbar (“Glass Onion,” 2022), Lloyd Bridges (“Hot Shots!,” 1991), Peter Graves (“Mission: Impossible”), Lorna Patterson (“Goodtime Girls”), Robert Stack (“Written on the Wind,” 1956) and the inflatable balloon man Otto. Moreover, “Airplane!” served as the directoria­l debuts for the writing trio of Jim Abrahams (“Top Secret!,” 1984) and bothers David (“The Naked Gun: From the Files of Police Squad!,” 1988) and Jerry Zucker (“Rat Race,” 2001).
