“Under the Bridge”

“A Kind of Murder” (2016)

Nothing is ever as it seems in mystery thriller “A Kind of Murder,” available to stream Monday,april 15 on Hulu. Based on “The Blunder” by Patricia Highsmith, who’s known as the creator of the infamous Tom Ripley, “A Kind of Murder” follows successful New York architect Walter Stackhouse (Patrick Wilson, “The Phantom of the Opera,” 2004). Despite his seemingly perfect life with his wife, Clara (Jessica Biel,“the Illusionis­t,” 2006),Walter has an extramarit­al affair with Elle Briess (Haley Bennett, “Swallow,” 2019), a woman he meets at a party. So, when Clara turns up dead, Walter is suspected of murder. But can he find the true killer and clear his name before it’s too late? In addition to Wilson, Biel and Bennett, “A Kind of Murder” also stars Vincent Kartheiser (“Mad Men”) as Det.
