“Outer Range” - Season 2

The mystery deepens in Season 2 of “Outer Range,” when the dramatic thriller series returns Thursday, May 16, to Prime Video. Josh Brolin (“No Country for Old Men,” 2007) stars in the series as family patriarch Royal Abbott, a Wyoming rancher who uncovers an unbelievab­le supernatur­al mystery on the edge of his property in the form of a dark void.as Royal and his wife, Cecelia (Lili Taylor, “American Crime”), try their best to hold their family together in the aftermath of their granddaugh­ter’s disappeara­nce, new threats emerge from all sides. Meanwhile, this new season “propels its characters deeper into the void with profound and unforeseen circumstan­ces that could shake the very foundation­s of time itself” (per Prime Video). Created and written by new talent Brian Watkins, “Outer Range” Season 2 features episodes directed by Brolin, Blackhorse Lowe (“Reservatio­n Dogs”) and Catriona Mckenzie (“Shining Vale”). the series’ ensemble cast includes Imogen Poots (“Vivarium,” 2019),Tamara Podemski (“Reservatio­n Dogs”), Lewis Pullman (“Lessons in Chemistry”), tom Pelphrey (“Ozark”), Noah Reid (“Schitt’s Creek”), Shaun Sipos (“Reacher”), Isabel Arraiza (“The Oath”), Olive Abercrombi­e (“The Haunting of Hill House”) and Will Patton (“Yellowston­e”). Executive producers are Brolin, Charles Murray (“Day Break”), Brad Pitt (“Bullet Train,” 2022), Dede Gardner (“Feud”), Jeremy Kleiner (“3 Body Problem”), tony Krantz (“24”), Heather Rae (“Frozen River,” 2008), Jon Paré (“Charmed”) and first-time producer Ernest Mcnealey.

“99”

Get an inside look at Manchester United’s storied history when the new three-part documentar­y, “99,” premieres Friday, May 17, on Prime Video. Looking back at the 1999 football season, the series follows Man U through the historic year when the team won the treble — taking home the Premier League, FA Cup and UEFA Champions League championsh­ips. Through a “season of conflict, drama and miracles,” the docuseries follows the team’s “astonishin­g road to greatness with untold stories from inside the team, revealing the dressing room conflicts, personal struggles and miraculous moments behind the legendary season that culminated in the most unbelievab­le comeback victory in football” (per Prime Video). Including never-before-seen archival footage and behind-the-scenes candid video from the club and fans, “99” also features exclusive interviews with key players from the team and the story, including manager Sir Alex Ferguson and players David Beckham, andy Cole, Gary Neville, Phil Neville, Peter Schmeichel, Paul Scholes, Teddy Sheringham, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Dwight Yorke and many more. Directed by Sampson Collins (“Gazza,” 2022), the documentar­y is produced by John Battsek (“The Deepest Breath,” 2023), Miles Coleman (“FIFA Uncovered”) and Nicola Howson (“Beckham”). David Gardner (“Bullet Head,” 2017) and Scott Melvin (“Class of ‘92: Full Time”), with co-executive producers Jonathan Sides (“Beckham”) and Craig South (“BBC Super League Show”).

“After the Flood” - Season 1

Dig deep into a thrilling new mystery when the ITV series “After the Flood” makes its debut Monday, May 13, available through the Britbox Prime Video channel. In the aftermath of a devastatin­g flood, PC Joanna Marshall (Sophie Rundle, “Peaky Blinders”) finds an unidentifi­ed man dead in the elevator of an undergroun­d parking garage. while the police assume that being trapped by the flood lead to his untimely death, Joanna finds herself becoming increasing­ly obsessed with uncovering the truth — and figuring out the man’s identity — as the story unfolds. From creator Mick Ford (“Silent Witness”), who writes alongside Roanne Bardsley (“Hollyoaks”) and Nina Netivier (“Dixi”), “After the Flood” is directed by Azhur Saleem (“Doctor Who”). the series cast also includes Matt Stokoe (“Jamestown”), Nicholas Gleaves (“The Demon Headmaster”), Lorraine Ashbourne (“Bridgerton”), Jonas Armstrong (“Robin Hood”), Philip Glenister (“Life on Mars”), Anita Adam Gabay (“We Were the Lucky Ones”), Tripti Tripuranen­i (“House of the Dragon”), Jacqueline Boatswain (“Fantastic Beasts: the Secrets of Dumbledore,” 2022), Daniel Betts (“Fury,” 2014) and Heider Ali (“The Batman,” 2022).

“Harry Wild” - Season 3

Back and ready to stick her nose into some intriguing new cases, Season 3 of “Harry Wild” premieres Monday, May 13, on the Acorn TV Prime Video channel. Retired from her career as a literary professor and looking for a new adventure, Harriet “Harry” Wild (Jane Seymour, “Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman”) kicked off the series by using her knack for mysteries to help her son, Charlie (Kevin Ryan, “Copper”), an actual police officer, solve a slew of complicate­d cases. Now, in Season 3, Harry and her young partner, Fergus (Rohan Nedd, “Whitstable Pearl”), are hired to help “prove the lead singer of Ireland’s hottest boy band didn’t kill himself, find out who decapitate­d a woman in a busy restaurant, discover who murdered a despotic director on the set of Ireland’s leading daytime soap opera, work out how a mystery writer managed to shoot himself in a locked panic room without a gun, and more” (per Acorn TV). Also starring Amy Huberman (“Finding Joy”), Paul Tylak (“Kin”) and new talent Rose O’neill, “Harry Wild” comes from creator David Logan (“Lost Christmas,” 2011).
