Based off of the 1991 biography “Enzo Ferrari: The Man, the Cars, the Races, the Machine” by Brock Yates, the film follows Enzo through the tumultuous summer of 1957. During this time period, Enzo balances saving his company, the car manufacturer Ferrari, from financial ruin by convincing his estranged wife, Laura (Penélope Cruz, “Vanilla Sky,” 2001), to sign over her shares of the company with grieving for their recently deceased son and keeping knowledge of his illegitimate son, Piero (Giuseppe Festinese, “Santa Lucia,” 2021), a secret. To put even more stress on Enzo, he has to prepare Ferrari’s racing division for Mille Miglia, a treacherous 1,000-mile race across Italy. Directed by Michael Mann (“Collateral,” 2004) and adapted to screen by the late Troy Kennedy Martin (“The Italian Job,” 2003), “Ferrari” also stars Shailene Woodley (“Divergent,” 2014), Sarah Gadon (“Enemy,” 2013), Gabriel Leone (“Dark Days”), Jack O’connell (“Unbroken,” 2014), Patrick Dempsey (“Grey’s Anatomy”), Michele Savoia (“Good Gals,” 2019), Lino Musella (“The Hand of God,” 2021), Domenico Fortunato (“Spectre,” 2015), Jacopo Bruno (“Fatti corsair,” 2012), Erik Haugen (“Two Beats One Soul,” 2018), Ben Collins (“Ford v Ferrari,” 2019), Wyatt Carnell (“Guardians of the Galaxy,” 2014), Andrea Dolente (“Outlander”), Giuseppe Bonifati (“All the Money in the World,” 2017), Daniela Piperno (“We Can Do That,” 2008), Tommaso Basili (“Rise of Empires: Ottoman”), Marino Franchitti (“Ignition”), Valentina Bellè (“Love Gets a Room,” 2021), Jonathan Burteaux (The Dark Pictures: Little Hope) and newcomers Gabriel Noto and Edoardo Beraldi.

“Biosphere” (2022)

“Biosphere,” which is available now on Hulu, is the feature-length directorial debut of Mel Eslyn (“Tony Hawk: Until the Wheels Fall Off,” 2022). The film sees two childhood friends, former U.S. president Billy (Mark Duplass, “Safety Not Guaranteed,” 2012) and his former advisor Ray (Sterling K. Brown, “Black Panther,” 2018), try to adapt to a post-apocalyptic Earth within the relative safety of a dome built by Ray. To ensure food while in the dome, they take care of a fishpond. One day, the last female fish dies, which leaves the duo distressed. However, Ray soon notices that the remaining male fish are undergoing sequential hermaphroditism, so they can survive. When the same starts happening for Billy, things get awkward. “Biosphere” is produced by executive producers Mark and Jay Duplass (“Transparent”); producers Eslyn, Maddie Buis (“Spin Me Round,” 2022), Shuli Harel (“Somebody Somewhere”) and Zackary Drucker (“The Stroll,” 2023); and co-producers Ashley Edouard (“As of Yet,” 2021), Drew Langer (“Lower Broads,” 2014) and Will Dowsett (“Language Lessons,” 2021).
