NEWTOWN TOWNSHIP POLICE REPORT

Monday, August 13
CoIMINAL MISCHIEF - Shortly before 11 a.m., a resident of Washington Avenue in Wrightstown reported that someone used caulk to write on two new windows that had been installed in his barn. The victim could not provide any information on who may have caused the damage.
Tuesday, August 14
THoEATENING TEuTS - A resident of Worthington Mill ooad in Wrightstown came to police headquarters at approximately 2:30 p.m. to report that she has been receiving threatening texts from a known subject. The victim was advised not to respond to any of the messages, to avoid any contact with the sender and to contact police with any future harassing incidents.
THEFT - Shortly after 4 p.m., police were dispatched to a home on Birch Court for a theft. The victim reported that she discovered $140 had been taken from her home and suspected that a cleaner was reVSRnVLEOH. SKH SURYLGHG WKH RIfiFHU wLWK WKH contact information for the cleaner. The RIfiFHU FRnWDFWHG WKH VXVSHFW, D 22-yHDUold Philadelphia resident. While speaking wLWK WKH RIfiFHU, WKH PDn DGPLWWHG WR WDNLnJ the money. The victim decided that if the money was returned she would not press charges.
Wednesday, Aug. 15
CoIMINAL MISCHIEF -A resident of Valley View Way called police around 12:15 a.m. to report that juveniles threw ears of corn at the front of his house. The FDOOHU WROG WKH UHVSRnGLnJ RIfiFHU WKDW WKH teens left the area in a dark colored SrV. The area was checked but the juveniles were not located.
lNE VEHICLE ACCIDENT - While on patrol on Stoopville ooad near Durham 5RDG DW DSSURxLPDWHOy 12:40 D.P. Dn RIficer observed a motorist swerve off of the URDGwDy VWULNLnJ D EXVK DnG finDOOy FRPLnJ to an uncontrolled stop off of the roadway and in a ditch. The driver, a 19-year-old UHVLGHnW RI :ULJKWVWRwn, WROG WKH RIfiFHU that he may have been driving too fast on the wet road. The driver was not injured, but a tow truck was needed to pull the vehicle out of the ditch. The damage to the car was minor and it was able to be driven from the scene.
DISABLED VEHICLE - Police were dispatched to the area of oushland and Sackettsford roads at approximately 5:30 a.m. for a report of a disabled vehicle with IURnW-HnG GDPDJH. 7KH UHVSRnGHG RIfiFHU located the vehicle. The windows were open and the air bags had deployed, but no one was nearby. The owner of the vehicle was contacted and the situation remains under investigation.
FoArD - A resident of Atkinson Lane came to police headquarters at approximately 12:20 p.m. to report fraudulent activity on his debit card account. The victim UHSRUWHG WKDW KLV EDnN nRWLfiHG KLP RI VXVSLcious transactions on his account for a total of $180/ Since the card was in the victim’s possession and the charges were not authorized, the card was cancelled and the bank will continue to monitor his accounts.
