Council Rock North looking to improve
BucksLocalSports Editor COrNCIL ROCh NORTH is looking to improve upon a .500 season it posted a year ago under head coach Adam Collachi, now in his third season guiding the Indians.
Last year in just its third Suburban One League (SOL) National matchup of the season, CR North stunned the Neshaminy faithful in Newtown when Indians quarterback Trevor Guzy hit wide receiver Billy McAlister on a 47-yard catch-and-run that went for a touchdown. The play came with under a minute left in regulation and North trailing 14-10, giving the Rock a 1714 triumph.
The victory pushed the Indians to 2-1 with a win over William Tennent (20-9) and a loss to Abington (27-0). From there, the Rock defeated Truman (48-6) and Bensalem (21-20) while losing to Pennsbury (19-8) and CR South (17-0), which shared the division crown with the Galloping Ghosts.
