Jingles & Jammies at CCNS teaches the lesson of giving
WASHIkdTOk CROSSIkd - Pgs, hot cocoa and joyful singing were some of the highlights that children enjoyed at Crossing Cooperative kursery School’s (CCkS) Toys for Tots holiday toy drive kick off.
For more than five years, gingles C gammies, a nearly two decade long tradition at the pre-school, has joined forces with the Marine Corps’ Toys for Tots campaign donating hundreds of toys to the organization.
“It’s a wonderful evening for the children filled with lots of laughter,” said hatie Cleary, educational director at CCkS. “The children have a great time while at the same time learning an important lesson in giving to those in need.”
Doing good for others is a constant theme at CCkS. Most recently, families at the Washington Crossing pre-school donated more than 310 pounds of food to the Bucks County Housing droup’s Food Pantry for Thanksgiving. “We are always grateful to have another opportunity to help teach the children the importance of giving in their communities,” continues Cleary.
CCkS, at 1260 Lord Sterling Road in Washington Crossing, is an official Toys for Tots drop-off site. Members of the community are welcome to bring its new and unwrapped toy donations to the school during business hours. Call 215493-2535 for confirmation.
